Seasonal Hours in Effect

The seasonal hours for both libraries are as follows:

VERA BRACKEN LIBRARY

20 December 2011: 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
21 December 2011: 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
22 December 2011: 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
23 December 2011-2 January 2012: Closed 
3 January 2012: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

BROOKS CAMPUS LIBRARY

19 December 2011-3 January 2012: Closed
4 January 2011: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.

With the seasonal break in operations, comes suspension of e-mail, instant messaging, telephone, and text/SMS information services; all services will resume on 3 January 2012. Any questions in the queues will be resolved then.

Both libraries will resume regular hours of operation on Wednesday, 4 January 2012.

Interlibrary Loan Service Outage: December 18th

Please note: Library Services’ interlibrary loan system will be unavailable on December 18th between the hours of 10 am and noon. 

Users will be unable to submit new interlibrary loan requests during that time. 

Fireplace Installed in Southwest Lounge!

Just in time for those frigid winter temperatures, an electric fireplace has been installed in the Vera Bracken Library's southwest lounge for the enjoyment of all! 

Donate to the Santa Claus Fund at the Library

This holiday season, Medicine Hat College Library Services is collecting donations on behalf of the Santa Claus Fund.  Money raised will help provide Christmas gifts for children in need. 

Cash donations for any amount can be dropped off at the library’s information desk and donors will receive a decorative stocking to post on the café window in the library.  

Santa says "help children in need by making a donation at the Vera Bracken Library today" (personal communication, December 2, 2011).

New Materials Lists Updated - November 2011
